- Simon Birch
- Originating from Leicestershire in England, Simon works nationally and internationally as a freelance artist, choreographer, rehearsal director, dance technique and yoga teacher and delivers workshops on creativity and movement. He has worked for many years in collaboration with other artists, most notably with visual artist Trish O’Shea – creating work that uses film, text, movement and visual imagery,for more information visit www.birchoshea.info As a dancer Simon has performed in works created by Debbi Purtill, Nigel Charnock, Liv Lorent, Gill Clarke, Emilyn Claid and Janet Smith. As a choreographer he has produced his own work, as well as being commissioned by, among others, Akram Khan, C Scape Dance Company and the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. Simon frequently works as a rehearsal director and guest teacher for professional dance companies. He is often invited to mentor professional choreographers and performers.
